The Great Blue Heron and the Blue Whale

Görkem Özen Çömez - Çağrı Odabaşı

On her courageous journey across the ocean, the Great Blue Heron meets the Blue Whale. During this short voyage, she learns many things from him. The wisdom she gains is a treasure she will carry in her heart for the rest of her life.

“Why are you happy? What does it mean to be happy?” asked the Heron. “Hmm,” said the Whale. “Happiness is a choice. To me, happiness means being able to see the beauty, the warmth, and the love in my life—it means choosing to notice them. For example, I am happy when I eat the fish I love, I am happy when raindrops splash against my back. When the wind caresses me, when I surface to take a breath, when I meet the sun that warms my skin... I am happy just to exist and to experience life. I choose to be happy!” he replied.
